The demon from Ghosts n Goblins! I also hear Megaman is in there too! I know I said originally that I wasn't too keen on seeing Megaman and characters like him etc in the roster, but I have to admit they look fucking cool!!! Have a good look through all those pics btw, there's some great ones... it seems there are quite a few more backgrounds hidden in the game than we intially thought too. I guess our dream of Playmore hiding lots of stuff from even the beta tests has come true! hehe, i was just about to post that link, sweet pics, demitri looks cool but im just not excited about playin as zero or a metal slug alien. With that aside the backrounds and character models look beautiful, i can't wait to play it but i just can't imagine all that greatness fitting into a neo-geo cart

I agree, I'm not *that* excited about playing as Alien or Zero either, but it looks like they have done what I was hoping for - they have made them secret characters that you only get to if you fulfill certain criteria while playing the game (like amount of rounds won and points etc), so that is cool with me.I can't see the majority of people wanting to play them seriously in vs mode either, so I don't think they will get annoying in vs mode either. There were rumours of certain characters (including Demitri believe it or not) not being playable, but a reliable source said that he saw someone in a Japanese arcade enter a code to pick Zero... so if you hear that rumour don't worry about it too much Kaz ps it's pretty much confirmed for a home cart/standard MVS cart release, so they must have figured some way to fit it all in... I'd be very interested in hearing the meg count for this game anyway... |

I have been curious to find out about the meg count for this game aswell. I would also like to see what the board set looks like in this cart chip wise.
It looks like they have definitly squeezed every programming trick related to the MVS in the book there is to get this level of sprite detail along with fluid movement, it will be interesting to see this game in person.

Well at least they put in Zero in his MMX 0 form from the gba games. I was kinda hoping they wouldn't do this sort of thing but they did pick some characters I wouldn't expect. Firebrand was just this annoying as hell demon in Ghouls and Ghosts but he was pretty damn cool in his own game Demon's Crest(very cool snes game I reccomend playing). Another thing I considered is the fact that not all of the KOF characters started out as fighters(like Athena and the Ikari warriors) so it'll probably be just fine.

I didnt care all too much about this game, but now it has me drooling. Firebrand, a metal slug alien, and Zero, my greatest dream come true. (well, my greatest dream would be for Tron Bonne, Barubary, and Bao to be playable, but its close)

Well,there are some decent scans of the arcadia that had a preview on SvC...it was on the thread i made for that issue of arcadia.Some good pics of Genjuro and Shiki were placed on it. The Zero is kinda out of place....but,he does look very cool.Especialy seeing it´s his new design of the Megaman Zero games for the GB advance.The artdesign on that is awesome.  And yep,there were confirmations on Demitri and Zero being selectable by code input......Thank GOD for that one. I think i would be so friggin disapointed if Demitri wouldn´t be playable.....he looks so friggin powerfull. SNK gafe the Capcom charas that animeish edge that makes them look even cooler than they used to look. oh.....and,ROCK ON.  |
