How do you make kaiilera faster. I live in the east coast of the U.S and the reason I dont play on Kaiilera to much is becasue of the lag, is there a way to make it faster with standard cable modem. Maybe turn off sound or change resolution. Second question is there a working rom for super sidekicks 4. Its just every rom I have come across the field is missing. Is the game still missing the rasters.

kaillera-the best way to speed up kaillera is if you set your connection type to BAD when you start kaillera netplay up,this it turn sends 10 keyframes a second so you run smoother.you won't really notice the effect of this unless the person your playing against has it set the same too.i play online with my brother who's got a 56k modem connection(i have adsl) and we have some good games with minimal lag.Also make sure your in a hub where your ping is low...the lower the better.
super s4-i believe mame emulates in best...kawaks and nebula don't emulate the scrolling effect in it i think but mame does(or tries too,i've seen the pitch go awol in mame too every so often).in neorage the pitch is there,but its in the sky too!!!!!! ;D ;D

Yes that field missing problem is caused by the raster effects not being emulated - I haven't tried Super Sidekicks in a long time, but I thought Neb and Kawaks emulated it now, but maybe I am wrong. MAME does emulate it, but it is a bit slow unless you have a fast system. There was an unnoficial version of MAME that had some new code that made it run really great, but it never got added to official MAME as the devs didn't want to put the code in cos it would have messed up something else IIRC.
Because of the missing raster effects, there are slight gfx glitches in many other Neo games, but you don't really notice them as they are nowehere near as severe as in Super Sidekicks or Neo Turf Masters.
