You really won't need to spend over $60, i got a geforce 3 ti 200 thats worth less than $70 bucks nowadays and its more than enought to run any neo emulator with high res flawlessley

Yeah Goemon is right... you only really need to spend $200 if you really want to play some other stuff too, like PC games or emulators that do 3D games that need a bit more power. I have a new PC, and I have to admit that the GeForce 4 that I got with it isn't the best, but it runs anything emulation wise that I have thrown at it just fine. One thing I'd consider though is a gfx card with a TV out - I have one on this card and if you have a TV near your PC it is great for emulators and stuff, or if you want a quick way to watch mpg files etc on your TV Kaz

I have a radeon 9600 pro which I bought for 180. It has direct x9 support so it plays all the newer games and it has the tv out funtion. I have it hooked up to my tv with a s-video cable. Great card and cheap to. It even comes with hyrda vision which enables you to play vcds.

2 years?? Try 2 weeks Hehe, but seriously, I'm not too fussed about the spec of a machine - so long as it does what you need it to there's no need to go overboard. I have an AMD 2.6 (crappy gfx card right now though) and it runs everything I need it to... I can't see me upgrading anything in it for quite some time really as it runs all my stuff great, although I might just get a new gfx card in time for Doom 3 ;D Thats should be a nice setup anyway Mysterio, congrats Kaz

I've used the same xp1700 processor, geforce 3 ti 200 & 40 gig HD for 2 years & i still don't feel the need to upgrade. Though i plan to by an amd 3000 processor & and radeon 9800 pro in time for HL 2 & possibly Doom 3
