I'm trying to figure out why I can't enter console mode when I play svc chaos on mame. Can anyone out there help me with this?  |

While playing a two player vs match (by myself for practicing purposes) when I am the second player and I press a punch button both players throw a punch. Also when I press up on player 2 the player 1 guy punches. I am using a X-arcade and have checked the configuration of the buttons, is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? I am using the Kwangs Loader and the game has all the latest patches... perhaps too many patches...?

I laos had a problem like that some time ago, and it turned out to be my joypad configuration in windows. Maybe you should recheck it for the 2 seperate joypads? |

alright
i got the loader for my kawaks 1.46 and have the svcplus.zip in the roms file.
What now???
well i do know that i need to get the fixes, BUT how do i put them in where they should be?
Do i need a DAT for this?

Covert your rompath in winkawaks so that the program sees where you have your games. See this for more info on general start up. kazuyauk.proboards16.com/index.cgi?board=emulation&action=display&thread=1067164452And basicly start up the emu with the loader.exe instead of the regular kawaks.exe. If you have patches....for the m1 and p1 roms. Just add them to your svc gamezip and they should overwrite the older one. PS: always save another copy of your romzip incase your new patch messes up or is a incorect one. Would be a shame to mess up the game and have to look for the whole thing all over again. |

AAGGGHHH!!!!  still nothing i think the rom path is right since it reads my older roms and also mslug4. i tried to do the "right click the the loader icon" idea that was in this thread earlier but i had no such luck cause i use windows 98. so... what is the name of the rom to put in the roms folder? svcplus or not? i cant think of anyhting else.  thanks again dandha |

play the loader, Dandha.
Got to the load game as you're going to load a game to play.
And press "show all games"...on the list.
See if SvCplus.zip is also in the list, if it isn't.......no wonder you can't make it to work.

thanks i got it to work know but i was wondering if i could change the language to english. i tried using the faq kaz had but it made no difference. any other ways to change the language?

Change the regio setting on the kawaks taskbar to USA.
It's under the taskoption Game....then go to regio.

SVC help in Mame 0.77.1 needed:
I have a version of Mame which I got from a site and it has all the newest games on it which is great! It also has listed both SVC and SVCPlus under games. I have the SVC game working fine, but under the SVCPlus I actually want it to show the Plus logo when the game starts up. Is there a 269-p1.bin file for theis game that anyone knows of for Mame which keeps the Plus in there and also keeps all the secret characters visible on the fighter selection screen?

P.S. Admins is it ok if I post that site? It has no roms just fixes and the Hacked Mame.

I'm not too fussed about that link as people have been giving out links to loaders for other emus etc - but one thing though: distributing copies of mame that have newer games enabled is against the MAME license (so it's kinda in the same area as posting links to roms etc). If you guys want to use the, then it's cool by me, but I don't want any pissed off mame devs knocking on my door, so I'd appreciate it if people didn't post these things in future  Like I said, it's not too much of a big deal, but I don't want to make MAME devs angry at me  Kaz |
