hey ive just got kof2002 rom but on kawaks it only goes up to 2001 it hasnt got 2002 on there...ive got neo rage but i want it to play on kawaks cuz i can adjust the size of the screen and make it look better...can anyone help me out? thanx
oh and also the rom came with a loader and it says something about kawaks but i cant understand it?

Yes you can but not with the version of kawaks you have. You need a hacked version of kawaks 1.46 that enables you to play newer games with a loader attached in the shape of a star. I just emailed you a website with a hacked version. Remember the dat file and rom must have the same name. You might have to change the name of the rom.

I got the same problem as well I tried downloading it from emule but so far no luck, I also tried google but nope. So if anyone could pinpoint me to it's location I would very very much appriciate it.  *also if someone could explain to me how dat's and loaders work i would kindly appriciate it. Since often I see a post here with all data in it. And then what do u do with it? Do u like paste it in notepad and save it as .dat? And then what do u do with it  |

A bit of a late question,
I have the version of kawaks mentioned above and have the same loader problem.
I also have mslug3, roboarmy and kof 99 and none of them work either,
so how do I get them to work and what do I have to do with the dats?

you don't have to do anything with them...you've probably either got the neorage roms....so the roms inside the zip files will need renaming or incomplete roms so you'll have to download another one.it's more likely you'll need to rename them.In kawaks go tools and audit romsets.then go to your kawaks folder and open the audit.look down the list for mslug3 for example and if it says wrong name rename your romset to what it should be.....not the zip file the roms inside the zip.after you've done that rescan the roms and see if it works.

Here's a guide to Parent romsets and thier Clones: KOF99 has 5 different sets: Parent: kof99 - this is the fully encrypted version, a stright dump from the cart Clones: kof99e - an earlier variation of the P roms, kinda like ver.1 kof99a - the Set2, meaning another kind of P rom, sorta like an alternate verion kof99n - has a decrypted P roms kof99nd - this has both the P and C roms decrypted ___ i guess what you have is the kof99nd set.. so just rename your kof99.zip to kof99nd.zipit sould work now.... plus i noticed on your audit you ahve a wrong neogeo.zip (bios file) |
