Darn. I hope AonE does fansubs for this cuz they can translate an episode two days after it airs in japan(Naruto is proof of that).

^actually, the voice is kinda the same, but a bit deeper (we'll he is older in the live action, 25 yrsold, unlike in the anime/manga wherein he is 22), plus his expressions and stuff (of course not that exaggerated like the anime)... he may be different a bit, but still the Onizuka we know hehe, dont be fooled by his looks

Sorry about that buddha, i was a bit sleepy when i wrote that Crap, this cpu can't even play video at 100% speed, need to wait till i get my motherboard back But.... he's not blond and it won't be the same voice..... it kinda gives me the impression that it won't be like the Onizuka i know....

^well, personally, i ahvent seen it too (maybe this week), and many will say that it was a wrong move that you watched to movie first without seeing the series first... even so, ive read many rreviews that the movie was a bit mediocre.... still, Rena Tanaka was there, prolly one of the reasons to watch it but i assure you, the series really good

I watched the movie awhile ago, and it didn't really leave much of an impression on me. Maybe the series is better, as I have yet to watch those, but the movie felt uninspired in comparison with the anime.

heheh what's with the japanized pronunciations? ;D ("mai nem izu sukotsuto! ai hafu gureto nemu furu GAIJIN!!! retsu engurishu!!!") i've read somewhere that the last episode of the GTO live-action had the most simultaneous veiwers of all time in Japan from such a rep, i've been searching for the episodes high and low for a couple of months now since i've been wanting to watch that GTO live-action after collecting 4 of the anime dvds, but i've no luck finding episodes of it. i did see a DVD for the 2hr live-action movie itself jsut recently in Suncoast, and i might buy it the next time i go to the mall about the most viewed in japan part again, it seems to me that GTO in any TV form has a very universal appeal... of all the anime i play once in a while, the only anime my mom and pops bother watching is GTO everytime i play it they like watching TV dramas and soaps from asia (in the LA18 channel here) so when they saw GTO and became amused by it, they were saying that "this animation would be even better if they made a real-life version of it". hence my search for the DVDs of it

ok. this anime needs no introdcution, its purely one of the best imo, really funny and will captivate your emotions... but im not here to talk about the Anime or Manga... i know this has nothing to do with the "anime" section, but this is the only place i could place this.. i think. GTO the Live Action (Dorama) okok, before you get turned off, i know Anime/Cartoons/VideoGames to Live Action shows/movies are really sucky (HK Dragon Ball anyone??), but i tell you this is really, really really GURETO! (great!) Its basically the same story as the Anime and Manga, Onizuka wants to be a GREAT teacher, but it's somewhat altered, cuz in the Manga/ANime, he wanted to become a teacher just to "get-it-on" with HighSchool girls.. but now its toned down, he jsut simply want to be a great teacher cuz he want to make it up for himself during his HS days (being a gangster and all...) dont worrym, the Portrayal of Takamachi Sorimachi as Onizuka is very excellent, it very convincing, he is the Onizuka from the manga, but he kinda gives a certain more human tone to him, badass still, yet soft at times.. I noticed that teh story kinda sticked more to the Manga, but it wasnt that far off from the anime, there are some small changes (e.g. Onizuka's best friend is now a the Policeman and the Motorcycle shop owner combined into one person, etc.etc..). it also fun to see how they made some of teh anime scenes into live action, like when the Vice-Principal's Car gets trashed, etc,.et.c.. over all i suggest yo try and grab a copy (hintBThint), teh series lasts for 12 episodes at 50mins each. There is also a Special 1+hour episode and a 2hour tv movie if you enjoyed the Anime/Manga, and are a fan, i suggest try getting this as you will surely enjoy it ...ome wa GURETO!
