I guess you just needed to be around back in the day to appreciate them properly - and I've been into Neo stuff since more or less day one
I'd say things for SNK really kicked into gear in 1993 with Samurai Shodown, and then SNK went from being a good developer into a spectacular one when they released Samurai Shodown 2 and KOF 94 ;D
