One of the main reasons they went for KOF '94 is because it was never ported to any other console at any point (the only KOF that wasn't) and because as I mentioned, it has apparently been requested by many Japanese fans... so maybe SNKP is listening to the fans as they promised? 
I'm cool with it anyway... KOF '94 still has some of the best ever stages and music in any KOF if you ask me. The England stage and the Japan stage are amazing I think, so seeing remade versions of those (if SNK really is gonna re-do the gfx) will be cool, so long as they do them well. I can't wait anyway, but I must admit I also have a lingering suspicion that it might turn out to be a disappointment. But, as a certain football team from my home town is always saying... "KEEP THE FAITH!" ;D
