KOF 2002 is good (read the loooong review on my site for my opinion 
), although I personally don't like Magician Lord. I respect it because it was one of the first batch of Neo titles and a lot of people love it, but I just never could get into it no matter how hard I tried. And yeah, it is only for those who like a challenge, so be warned it is HARD at times
