the only downside, is that you have to fight the boss 2 rounds with one character. Which means the boss gets all his health back the next round.  That's a good point. Completing the game is even more difficult in the single play mode... The single play game mode is still a nice extra feature and I think that all KoF players should at least give it a try. It also varies between different KoFs : - '98 : Classic 1-on-1 gameplay, 1-5 round win(s) required to advance - '99 : 1-on-1 gameplay + striker (player chooses 2 characters), 1-3 round win(s) required to advance - 2k : Same as in '99, "Battle won / lost"- screen has slightly different music than in team play mode (?). - 2k1 : 1-on-1 gameplay + 3 strikers (player chooses 4 characters, power bar is really short ;D), 1-3 round win(s) required to advance
