Now that you mention it, if I was seeing Iori or Terry's normal costumes for the first time, I'd probably think they were stupid. Instead I think they are nostalgic 
Of course one of my old friends once said in reference to Geese
"What kind of name is Goose, look, he's not cool he's wearing a skirt!"
That particular person actually dropped out of high school, totalled two cars, beat a guy unconsciouss, got pulled over for drunk driving, and got sent to juvenile hall all in the space of 5 months.
