Amakusa Shirou:
A young Christian leader who led a rebellion in Shimabara. But his army was
quickly defeated by the Bakufu army and he was executed for his crime. Due to
his hatred against the world, his soul continued to wander within darkness.
150 years later, he is brought back into the world by making a deal with the
dark god Ambrosia. He used the body of Shinzo Hattori to come back to life. He
plotted to bring Ambrosia into the world by using the Palenke stone and its
energy. But his plans were quickly stopped as Haohmaru and Nakoruru killed him.
But when he was killed by the two, his soul was split into two parts. Good
and evil. The evil Amakusa plots world domination and to create his ideal
kingdom. He summons Zankuro back from Makai but is unable to contain him and
seals him again. He then creates his castle and kidnaps Hazuki Kazama. Using
Hazuki's power, he sustains his castle in the real world. The good Amakusa, on
the other hand, plans to defeat the evil Amakusa and return to one again. But
before the good Amakusa could reach the evil Amakusa, Kazuki Kazama killed the
evil Amakusa. The good Amakusa on the other hand, was sealed away by Mizuki
because of his betrayel.
A year later, he breaks free from the seal and sets off to defeat Mizuki. He
saves Haohmaru, Jubei, Kyoshiro, and Seiger's soul from Mizuki but his soul was
destroyed by Mizuki in the process.

Hattori Hanzo:
A highly skilled ninja and the leader of the Iga ninja clan. When it comes to
the skills in Taijutsu, it is said his skills are un-matched. Although he never
shows much emotion, he cares for his family very deeply. When Amakusa took over
the body of his son Shinzo, he set out to rescue his son. Although Amakusa was
defeated at the hands of Haohmaru, Hanzo was not able to retake his son Shinzo.
The following year, Amakusa's castle appeared again and he was ordered to
destroy the castle to restore peace. There, he found the body of his soulless
son. Although he was able to retrieve Shinzo's body, his soul was still lost
in Makai. In order to free Shinzo's soul, he leaves his village to find and
defeat the source of the evil. After Mizuki was defeated by Haohmaru, Shinzo's
soul came back to its body. But because Shinzo's soul was weakened, his mother
Kaede gave away her life to save him.
