Don't ask me why but:
US fanny = ass
UK fanny = vagina
As I've said before, this makes the Engrish translation of Last Blade on the NGPC VERY bad... where in one of the endings someone says "I am going to spank your fanny". More or less perfectly innocent in the US, but SNK obviously didn't think about the UK audience so it led to a lot of "LOL" moments over here
Fanny is also a name though... I pity the fool who has that name
