Hmm. Perhaps with the rapid/extreme temp. changes, it could be that...
Possible expansion and contraction have caused some contacts to get messed up.
Condinsation formed, which 'could' create rust, short circuits. -though its definetaly not the latter since it still works.
Are the sounds you are getting, actual samples? Or like static. And I am assuming it does this for all your games?
