Mh, metal slug doesn´t really fit in there, seeing that´s a shoot em up and all the other games are fighting games.
But from everything i have heard...i´d say Metal slug takes the crown as a game on it´s own.
But i´ll go with Matrimelee agains all the other fighting games.
The gameplay and the way the combos feel is superior to the others.
SvC was good, but too limited in VS mode...characters were too standard.
Matrimelee has that old skool feel to it...Great animation with heavyfeeling combo link up....in the same style of Mark of the wolf, IMHO.
Really a perfect fighter with a funny twist in the characters and one of the weirdest,coolest classic soundtracks ever to grace the NeoGeo.
