With regards to neo-geo.com, I personally still have the utmost respect for Shawn as he is a good guy and all my dealings with him in the past have been very good. The forum there is also good for some things still - the tech support forum for instance is still very helpful at times, and the selling forum is a very good thing.
The main problem with that site though now is that too many people there seem to lurk around and wait for the opportunity to flame someone. When a site has as many members as neo-geo.com has, you can guarantee that there will be a lot of people with VERY different opinions... now this can be a good or a bad thing depending on how you choose to express those differences. If everyone had the same opinion then all conversations on the internet or otherwise would be boring, so having a different opninion to someone else is good as it gives you something to talk about with each other.
If however, you choose to express that difference of opinion by needlessly flaming someone or posting derogatory remarks, then that's just silly. Unfortunately, neo-geo.com has gotten to the point where a small number of flamers start arguments on there on any post that they don't agree with, and that escalates further and further, turning many decent threads into flame wars...
As for snk-capcom.com, I like the site a lot and I now Trieu is a great guy, but I don't tend to post on the forums much as I spend most of my time here obviously. Also, I find that there are FAR too many sections on the forum there, which means posts tend to get spread out too much... and I never have the time to go through each section individually to be honest. That's why I've deliberately put a small number of different sections on this forum and gradually added new ones as we need them... this is a better way to do it imho.
We'll always endeavour to keep this forum a friendly place to post in. Thanks again
