Dude i just wanted to say thanks, this board is the ONLY board that isn't crawling with the fucking retards that i had the opportunity of meeting on some places i went.
Snk-capcom forums are ok, but really not much is said on them for the most part but they are decent.
however, nothing could prepare me for the total insanity of the neo-geo.com boards.
holy fucking shit, some of these people really need to get their head checked. I mean, its good to be a fan of something, but these people take it to the (unhealthy) extremes.
case in point - I joined up because i saw a sweet deal on a modded AES unit. He lived near me, and i was almost gonna get it...but then i just realized that as much as i love the neo, i am just fine with the ports on DC and ps2. The guy was cool with that, and i thought these would be some great people to talk with.
or so i thought...
there was a topic that on there not so unlike the one on here right now about the phuck ign kof 2001 comparison. It all started just fine, untill one poster started yelling about how all ports sucked. Then another joined him, then someone said something different and the entire place started going apeshit.
Of course, i didnt help things...well, i'll let you see for yourself. I presented a valid point towards a member called dangerousk, and he went apeshit on me...and much hilarity insued.
I was Destra3, just read the post to see how insane some of the shit is on there.

hehehe, my haiku tribute really pissed some of them off.
And then i got banned.
basically, i got banned for having a different opinion, and making one of the fags on there look like a fool.
I have nothing, and i mean NOTHING wrong with people who play AES games, hell i would too if i had the money. but when someone just goes apeshit because you are having fun with an "inferior" port...well thats just sad.
