I managed to finish the game w/o continues !
(but i cant seem to finish it using gaira, this game is soo scrwed-up
)
anyway, i used Kyoshiro... he kicks ass, actually, his frog does
look at his ending:
i was like WHOA! Hayate and Todoh?!! i'd thought i'd never see these guys again
, now this was a surprise 
lolz, here's my scoring:
i know, BOA ;D (i use that name on EVERY arcade game i play.... and i still see at the TOP, four BOA's in the Hiscores in a KOF2002 machine near us

well, as you see, i finished it around 12mins, and i reached the boss at around 10:25mins, still dont know if there will be a difference if i reached the boss in less that 10 mins...
well, im off to beat Gaoh using Gaira , and i sure hope i eventually finish it ;D
