I don't think the sword is too short (maybe, maybe not)... the only thing that does bother me a little is that Haohmaru's face looks a little weird. It's a nice picture anyway, but after looking at it a lot, there are better ones that SNK have done in the past.

This one is still the best Haohmaru pic ever imho:
