Sounds like a good idea, it would be good to keep track of the discussions a bit easier.
And as you said if it doesn't work out you can always throw it away.
I'm thinking of where you could put it though, Off topic would appearantly have a purpose if it was placed in there
I'm for it, repeating myself now but that would be a good idea and it's always a pain if the thread for said programme got bumped off the page and have to bump it back up.
I doubt there will be many here who would oppose the idea, and it might bring more traffic like you said.
