AoF was pretty good fun at the time it was released, and it *did* introduce a few things that hadn't been done before... e.g power bars for your special moves, the zooming camera, etc. I also think many of the characters are very cool, I mean hell, they are still using many of them in the KoF series today, as well as in SvC and CvS.It does look very poor by todays standards, but back then it actually was decent. AoF2 I didn't like though because of the insane difficulty of the CPU, but AoF3 wasn't too bad... not great but still reasonable entertainment for a few hours. That game still has better animation than almost any other Neo Geo game as well, second only to MotW, although it is damn close.
Anyway, as I said before, I'd still like to see another AoF game, but they would have to change a lot of stuff and make the game engine a lot more solid to make it worthwhile today.
