As much as I love video games, I used to work in a store that sold them and it did wear me down after years of doing it. Especially some of the ridiculous questions you get asked sometimes.
And yeah I got PLENTY of stories too...those parents are a real pain when it comes to selling consoles or games!
Too true Kaz. As another veteran of retail and video games you do get asked crazy questions. What bugged me most though is when people did not take age restriction certificates on games seriously. So many parents complaining about violent games after purchases. Would responsible parents question sitting their 10-year old kids in front of Cannibal Ferox or Texas Chainsaw Massacre? They seem ok in trying to buy GTA though! (despite my efforts in pointing out warnings)
Sorry about the rant.
Work sucks. It's sad that our society bases itself around a 5-7 day working week.
