Mine is a MESS!
A few months ago, I was just playing around highlighting my icons by dragging the mouse, will, anyway I accidentally duplicated all my icons and though I've deleted most of them, I'm still left with the residue.
ALso I got some spyware once, that put a bunch of crap on my desktop, and spybot and adaware haven't discovered it yet. --when I delete the shortcuts manually, they just appear again next time I boot.
