I had decided to cancel my DSL and resignup as a new user so I could get it for $29.00 a month for the next year instead of the $49.00 it has been for the last several years. So of course SBC screwed that all up ,they never even placed my new order even though it was in their computers and I had verified it with 2 reps. Of course there is a mandatory 10 day down time for line tests and some other BS wether you had DSL or not. It ended up taking a total of about 20 days or so I think ? So thats basically where Ive been . Since I have 3 PC's networked into this machine { my primary PC } XP Pro got severly confused and wouldnt properly open the port for a standard 56K modem and I didnt feel like hosing my network just to crawl on the net  That about sums it up I think  Sounds kinda like my ISP at times... they suck for customer service and when we first got cable installed the guys that came round to set the line up only did half a job and said they didn't have something that they needed and would send someone else out in an hour or so. When they didn't turn up 5 hours later I phoned them up and they said "oh we haven't sent anyone because according to the paperwork our guys say the job is all finished. Three weeks later I actually had a cable connection  Fem: everyone is a bit crazy round here... sometimes I wonder if my own forum is good for my sanity, I feel like I'm getting crazier every day I'm here... especially with people like you know who arriving back  Kaz
