Ah, the fantasy of the weapon owner. All my friends who have weapons fantasize, hoping that someone will break into their house, or that they'll be attacked on the street so they can use their swords, knives etc. Kinda funny actually. -kinda scary actually 
But anyway, I think the recoil would be too much for you to be very accurate: but then again, I guess it wouldn't matter much if the intruder is within a 10 foot radius. Otherwise, do wrist exercises.
