My preferred waffle is the Brussels waffle:  It's inflated and crusty, topped with flour sugar, cream and hot chocolate sauce. Icecream can be done too, although that is to be preferred on pancakes. Waffles from Liège come packed with butter and sugar inside so they're a lot heavier on the stomach. Something to go for through meals to still hunger, whereas the Brussels waffle mostly comes right after a meal. Liège waffle:
