Better than Kill Bill? Yup. It's got a bigger storyline, and it's The Tale of Zatoichi (Zatoichi Monogatari, dir. Kenji Misumi, 1962), Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman's Return (Shin Zatoichi Monogatari, dir. Kazuo Mori, 1963), Zatoichi and the One Armed Swordsman (Shin Zatoichi: Yabure! Tojin-ken, dir. Kimiyoshi Yasuda, 1971), and Zatoichi in Desperation (Shin Zatoichi Monogatari: Oreta Tsue, 1972). These classic movies in one, renewed. The movie is about a samurai village. But it's not as dramaticly told like The Last Samurai. The movie doesn't show Zatoichi that much tho, it's about "the One Armed Swordsman" too. A great swordsman who will take on Zatoichi in the end. I like The Last Samurai like how the story's told. And I like Zatoichi because of the intense scenes. They're really violent, but the fight scenes aren't that long. It's realistic samurai fighting and the blind samurai-esque tops it off. BTW, enter this site for some fight scenes : www.zatoichi-lefilm.com/
