Her role was awesome in Kill Bill, too bad she had to die like that. 
Seiryu, I highly recommend BR1. It's one of my fav movies. The story may seem weird at first, but it's very well told, and almost each student has their story. Some deathscenes were pretty dramatic, but they didn't show it in a dramatic way in the movie.
About BR2, I guess I was off in some points, the 2 survivors of BR1 started a group called "Wild Seven", and the new BR project (the new class) has gotta hunt em down. The beginning looks like the Saving Private Ryan D-Day.

On another subject, I just finished watching Azumi (2003) with Aya Ueto. Have you seen that one buddha? You probably have, it's about Aya being a samurai.
