That reminds me a bit of the Dutch thread we had in another forum. Since the general subject is Dutch, but with the added twist that everybody is welcome to share thoughts and opinions no matter the language, it became the victim of its own success. In the end, we ended up getting a hardcore group of members, partially Dutch, partially non-Dutch, posting in there. We knew each other pretty well so yes, on some occasions those pages could fly. Much to the displeasure of other members who felt left out. There was a general feeling of displeasure towards this thread that was always on top of things, but that seemed so hard to dig into.
It also was weird that other language threads weren't nearly as successful. But maybe that's because Dutch is a minority language.
