Nah, KOF can't lose Mai... but Mai could do with losing some more clothes 
. Actually I'd like to just see her get a new look - something like what Seiryu said, where she would just be wearing more casual clothes like jeans and a t-shirt or something. Of course they could always keep the old costume in there as an extra
