You don't need to mod it to display NTSC as it is already capable of playing stuff in 60hz... all you need is to get the machine modded so that it will play your imports/backups. Once you are done, any NTSC games will play full screen/full speed, but you will need to make sure you have a TV that can display NTSC, or one that has an RGB scart input, and an RGB scart lead for your PS2.
