Climax's Brighton Studio has announced that they are working on a game called 'Avalon' for the PS3. The team are using their Blimey2 game development engine which they believe puts them way ahead of the competition. The only problem is that the group don't actually have a PS3 to develop with so they have to guess the performance of the PS3. The are making amazing progress, and already have an early version of the game up and running online at there studio.

Digital Extremes have released a trailer and screenshots of their next generation game Dark Sector. According to the Ontario-based developer, the sci-fi action game will be released on "next-generation consoles". However Digital Extremes representatives would not reveal whether or not the game would be released on Sony's PlayStation 3 or Microsoft's Xbox Next or both. The scenes shown in the trailer are made up of in-engine graphics, not prerendered CG. We must stress that the game is not being run on a PS3 and the graphics are just based on the predicted power of the Next Gen consoles.
