I think DOA comes closer to Virtua Fighter in the gameplay/fighting style then Tekken.

But i´d have to go with Virtua fighter on this one.
Tekken is too straight foreward,not really a thinking man´s brawler like Firtua fighter.
Firtua fighter uses nicer moves that are more faitfull to the real martial arts I.M.H.O.
