Compare that with the crappy, deformed sprites in the SNES version ... weird, normally it always was the other way around.
It was a lot of the time, but then again you also had Nintendo's censorship policy to put up with on the SNES. I mean... they even censored the ALLADIN game ffs!!! If you never saw it, they took out the sword you had in the MD version, because they though having a sword in there might make kids grab a sword and go out and kill people.
Despite that I can still remember the infamous headline from the Sun newspaper... "Nintendo killed my son".
