As an SNK fan, here were the things I liked about SF3
The character sprite style got more realistic (with some exceptions: Hugo etc) When looking at Yun/Yang, I'd be reminded of SNK type sprites.
The animation is the best I've seen yet in a 2D fighter.
You could do more than 2 hits per combo
It didn't seem to play like a Street Fighter game to me (at least not the alpha series which I hate with a passion)
Definately worth a try -preferable SF3 3rd strike
