Personally I would like to see more consoles much like the current ones from Sony and Nintendo which borrow a bit from PC logic but remain very distant from a PC vs the almost PC like Xbox. Its odd but PC's all have the same generic type of feel to the games no matter what the genre or so it seems anyway ? Where as straight consoles seem to feel better in some way , this all probably more mental than anything but I think there is something there.
Actually I know exactly what you mean about "generic" stuff... so you aren't the only one. I don't dislike the Xbox, but there aren't that many game on it that are appealing to me, even though I own one. The onyl game that really *WILL* make me dust off the XBox is still Halo 2 (and that's another FPS
