Most people don't have the dedication to learn a fighting game properly. For them it just boils down to predictable patterns, or worse, mashing. Mashing is especially bad, as most players think there's nothing to it and don't bother learning the game in depth. It's like that with Soul Calibur, and the same can be said of DOA3. I tired of both very quickly as a consequence of little competition from people who couldn't be bothered to learn further. And yes, I counter the f*** out of them because they are predictable. Failing that I use the basics I learned playing VF, SC or Tekken. Everyone thinks I am a fighting game god because I actually employ tactics instead of mashing.
