Heh, first, not everyone in here likes Final Fantasy, except for Kaz and me, what i'm aware of...when you start about "Final Fantasy owns" they'll flame Final Fantasy till they leave nothing left of the FF fans. 
ANYWAY to help you, you can get all those abilities with the sphere grid. You really should use the sphere grid when you start the game, or else you'll be way behind the cpu's level. You can also obtain HP and MP from the sphere grid, as well as Accuracy and Evade. So it doesn't work as a level up system like the past FF did. That you'll get some levels up doesn't mean anything to be honest. You use that number of levels to move in the sphere grid.
