It should definitely be red blood but there is actually a violence setting in the options menu - you can tone the violence down and I am sure that there was an option for red/green blood in there. That should be the answer to your problem.
If you turn the violence down, I wonder if it cuts out the Paris under attack FMV? That was quite bloodthirsty in places, so I would't think they'd play that if you have chosen to tone down the violence...?
