The Nokia N-Gage didn't exactly get a warm welcome in the gaming community for various reasons. In an attempt to restore some of the lost credibility, Nokia is releasing a new version of the N-Gage: the N-Gage QD. The mp3 player, radio and usb connectivity have been trimmed off. The Nokia N-Gage QD is no longer profiled as a multimedia machine like its predecessor, but instead focuses on gaming. You'll still be able to use it as a cellphone too, but without triband functionality. A couple of the most interesting improvements: -hot swapping: no more opening up the N-Gage and removing the battery before you can insert a new cartridge -bigger screen with 65000 colors instead of 4096 previously -(supposedly) longer battery life -better design: the N-Gage QD is one fifth smaller than its predecessor Operating system still is the Nokia-derivative of Symbian, and Bluetooth still allows you to communicate with other players. Expected in may with a price tag of 200 euros. More info: www.n-gage.com/en-R1/gamedeck/ngage_qd/index.htm
