2d games were've they gone?

duh like doom 2 and the ultimate doom but people can we not talk about Doom games because thats what the Columbine shooter's like most for a game and every time some one says Doom 2 (or any doom game) they remind me of them!!!! (those kinds would've sure been happy if they'd stay alve long enough for Doom 3)
