2d games were've they gone?

3d has its flair, but 2d has its own also! 2d has the feel that 3d cannot channel to us (and the same way vice-versa). from USA sony's standpoint they seem to be discarding what made ps1 so damn great: versatility of games. may it be action or adventure, platform or strategy, rpg or survival horror, 3d or 2D! with sony not allowing the realease of "cruddy" (for them i guess) 2D games like Metal Slug 3, it's a lot o' points of my coolness meter for them.

long live 2D, for gaming didn't start 3D.
