Have a look through the game controller setting in windows or in the instructions that came with your pad, that might give you some idea. There must be a way to do it somehow, otherwise having the d-pad on there would be useless. I got my pad from my local Game store... here's a link to the exact product on the Game website: shop.game.net/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=10414&mid=317000Not a bad controller, although the d-pad is a *tiny* bit loose making some supers awkward.
