There's many different sets floating around for varying reasons. After SNK started putting encryption on carts (KOF 99 being first), they encrypted them in various ways. First off, there are carts that have encrypted graphics roms (C roms), then theres carts with encrypted program roms (P roms), then there are carts that have both I think. This encryption was figured out some time ago, so the newer emus can now run the encrypted versions of the roms no probs. To further complicate matters, there are romsets floating around that are already decrypted. Most of them probably came from encrypted carts, but they have been predecrypted for one of two reasons usually: 1. To try to make it work in NeorageX. NRX doesn't support encrpyted roms, so the only way to get it to work is to give the emu a set of already decrypted roms. 2. To speed up loading times on slower computers. Decrypting the roms on the fly (like Kawaks/MAME/Nebula do) takes up extra memory and can slow down loading times, so people with slower computers find that loading non encrypted roms is easier. There is actually an option in Kawaks to make a set of decrypted C roms if you already have the encrypted set (meaning you wouldn't have to download it again). I think some games also have sound roms (V/M roms) that are encrypted. Anyways, I hope that clears things up a little, if you need any more info then let me know Kaz
