I had no problems at all with my phantom, the newest game i played on it was mark of the wolves which worked fine, a friend had rage of the dragons which worked on his. Definitely recommend the protective casing as Raiken says, it will make it much easier to put it in the AES. I didn't have the casing on mine and you did have to fiddle around to fit it correctly, and you do feel more nervous handling it without a case since it does feel fragile when putting a lot of pressure on it trying to get a game on and off. I don't think it's too much of a problem that the newest games won't work since the MVS versions are still expensive anyway, what the phantom is good for is buying the really expensive older AES games that you can only normally afford on conversion, like metal slug 1/2/X, blazing star, turf masters, pulstar, drift out, kizuna encounter etc.
Hope that helps,
Terry
