If possible, I really would suggest getting a uni-bios so you can change the region your system is set to easily... also it allows you to switch to arcade mode, and it is very easy to switch the blood on using the dipswitch settings when in arcade mode.
It's hard to install a uni-bios in an AES though as I mentioned above, so the best idea is to either get a qualified electrican to fit it for you, or find someone who is selling a pre-modded AES.
