Hope that helps. It's a shame my Xbox still needs to be fixed, otherwise I would test out my adaptors (I have 2 different brands I think)... I think I may actually have a spare one, so I could find out if it works and sell you it possibly if you were interested. If you have no luck in finding a working one, I'll see if I can test mine on a friends Xbox, and if it does, you could buy it from me if you want?
I'll try to test it when I get the chance - shoot a private msg over to me in a few days to remind me if you are interested
