I'll keep this short but sweet as I'm not the most advanced player, but KOF 2002 seems to me to be quite a balanced game (obviously it does have its faults though) and a lot of fun to play, and it was great to see KOF return to a more old school style of play with no strikers. KOF 2003 on the other hand was a great step towards doing something different with the series and it finally added some new really worthwhile characters, unlike the fairly useless ones that we've had in the past few years (with a few exceptions of course 
). I like the tag team stuff as well, although a lot of KOF purists do loath it
