Exactly the same gameplay as the original KOF 94. I haven't noticed any difference with anything so far, maybe other people can pick it apart though, who knows?
. One weird thing I did notice that I forgot to mention is that when you sidestep, if you are playing on the 3D backgrounds, the screen rotates ever so slightly (the 3d backgrounds do actually surround the arena in this one). Looks a tad weird to be honest, but you get used to it. Also, you can't see your team mates in the background, but you can still get them to jump in to help if you are being thrown etc, just like in normal KOF 94 (they jump in from the side like strikers). They do show up in the background as per normal if you choose 2D backgrounds, and thankfully those sprites have also been changed to hi-res ones
I agree about KOF 98 - if there is one more KOF game they could re-do, I'd love for it to be KOF 98. One thing that bugs me though - I think they could have made this game KOF 94-95 rebout, because they wouldn't have had to re-do many more sprites for that game seeing as they are mostly the same as 94 except for a bit more animation in places and a handful of new characters, Would have been nice and definitely better value (and perhaps more chance of seeing it released in the west too), but I suppose this will do... it's great fun anyway, and certainly brings many memories flooding back ;D
edit: oh yeah, forgot to mention... there are also 2 bonus videos on the disc that show some stuff to do with the history of Orochi, and the history of NESTS. It's all in Japanese though, so unforunately I don't understand much of it
. Great to have though, and it looks like there is space for some unlockables, which might be more vids or whatever... I hope there is!!!
Oh yeah, another thing... Rugal is playable in vs/endless mode as would be expected, but so is Saisyu Kusanagi as he has been added into the game! ;D

Sweet!
