Well he used to be anyway ,Im sure he is probably still into them ,Broken does some extremely nice work as well.
Personally I say build youre own ,they arent really all that tough to build and can be alot of fun if youre into tinkering , plus if youre new to all of this its a great way to learn alot of the basics as to how all this sort of hardware works.
Which ever way you choose to go have fun with it
